Rules:
1) The confirmation of participation in the competition + equipment delivery for the bike and run legs ( for the individual competitors):
- Friday, June 11th 2010, 9.00 AM, in the main parking lot in the center of Oradea is where the confirmation of participation in the competition begins and will end the same day at 5:00 PM. The confirmation is mandatory for both individual and relay competitors. During this process the equipments will be delivered and checked, time-measuring chips will be distributed, and individual insurances for this competition will be verified.
This is where the equipment for the marathon will be delivered (for the individual competitors).
2) Accident insurance is mandatory for each competitor (done individually).
3) Medical certificate (able for extreme endurance) is also required – will remain with the organizers.
4) Bike equipment will be delivered at the depot no. 1 – Tileagd.
5) Swim : if water temperature is below 24 Celsius, neoprene equipment may be used.
Swim start will happen on land, the competitors will run approximately 10 m to the lake.
6) Relay means that each competitor in a team can do one or two stages. Each competitor must hand off the timing chip to the next teammate.
7) Bike: CAREFUL – The bike stage runs on secondary roads, so all the safety regulations for cyclists must be strictly respected. The organizers are not liable for any accidents caused by ignoring the driving regulations. (these secondary roads don't have intense traffic)
The competitor must exit from depot no.1 (Tileagd) running next to his bike and with the bike helmet secured on his head! The bike helmet remains on the head for the entire bike leg and will be taken off only in depot no. 2 (Oradea – main parking lot).
8) Run: During the run leg traffic will be interrupted on the course so the runners will face no obstacles in their way.
9) IT IS FORBIDDEN – entering the depot points, except for the Organizers and Competitors.
- helping the competitors in any way ( except first-aid )
- using banned substances
10) The competition is a sporting event. Any non-fair-play action will cause the competitor/team disqualification.
